FW: holiday volunteer opportunities at Joshua Tree

Good morning Wolfpack,

Here is a great opportunity to volunteer out in Joshua Tree National Park.

Happy holidays, volunteer community!

I want to share another opportunity to volunteer with our campgrounds team. These are the folks that keep the park clean. They remove trash from campgrounds and picnic areas, clean out fire pits, sort recycling, clean the pit toilets, and keep the paper supplies stocked for visitors. They perform a lot of important duties that the park couldn't function without!

Staff is looking for volunteers to work alongside them on several upcoming Friday, Saturday, and Sundays from 7am to about 2pm. Volunteers will meet at HQ at 7am, caravan a government truck behind the campground staff vehicle, and help dump trash cans and restock toilet paper. Minimum time commitment is 4 hours. Volunteers need a valid driver's license and clean driving record. We welcome folks who want to work in pairs!

This is a fast-paced, engaging way to keep the park beautiful! See the attached service description for more information and feel free to share the flyer with friends and community contacts.

Please contact me by 12/15 if you are interested and available. We hope to see you in the park!
